ABC TV to Air Comedy Series Based On The Life Of Nicki Minaj

Well she has accomplished a lot, so let’s just add this impressive feat to her list of impressive feats.
A scripted comedy series based on the early life of Nicki Minaj is set to be aired by ABC.
The series would focus on Minaj growing up in Queens, New York; and would be executive produced by her as well. ABC has committed to airing the series, and would shoot the pilot episode in Queens this winter.
“Nicki Minaj is a force to be reckoned with at everything she touches,” said ABC Family’s EVP Programming and Development Karey Burke.
“Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
Born Onika Maraj, Nicki was born in Saint James, Trinidad, but moved to the US as a young girl. The show would focus on her experiences growing up in Queens in the 90’s.
“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” Nicki said
“I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”

'I overheard my dad and his friends talking about Bruce cross-dressing': Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian reveals how at age 11 she discovered her stepfather's secret, She has already spoken out about how she first realized her stepfather Bruce Jenner had a secret he was trying to hide from his family.

But Kim Kardashian revealed to Ellen on Wednesday it was actually her own dad who she first heard about the Olympian's penchant for dressing as a woman.

Speaking to the chat show host she said, 'I always just thought he was being a hater, like he was the new husband and he was jealous and he made this up so I totally let it go and I didn't think about it again.' Kim retold the story she has before when she was 21-years-old walking in and seeing Bruce dressed as a woman for the first time with her own eyes.

 'I walked in and the garage was open and I walked up to go to my bedroom,' she explained. 'I was living with my mom at the time and she was out of town visiting my grandma and so he had forgot that I had moved back in I guess.'

Kardashian explained that at the moment she saw Bruce dressed in women's clothing it immediately clicked and she remembered what her father, Robert Kardashian would always say. 'Then when I walked in I never would have known that was Bruce dressed up and I just ran in and I was shaking and crying,' she revealed.
Kim told Degeneres that she immediately packed a bag and called her older sister, Kourtney and exclaimed she would never guess what just happened. 'You just caught him cheating?' Kourtney asked.

'I wish,' Kim answered.
The two sisters spent the weekend together and conducted internet searches on the topic but said it was still unclear to them what was happening.
'I don't even think he considered himself transgender,' Kim explained. Ellen then asked the very pregnant Kim if baby North has met Caitlyn yet.
Kim revealed that the two have in fact met earlier this summer when Caitlyn invited them over for Father's Day.
Kim questioned Caitlyn about her intentions for inviting them over for the holiday and joked with her, 'You're not expecting a gift for Father's Day too, right?'
'You’re not double dipping here. Are you Mother’s Day or Father’s Day? You get one gift!' 

 Kim concluded, 'No matter if we don't understand it, no matter what people think, if that's how Caitlyn wants to live her life then I support it.'

'And I'm so happy for her and I'll try to do whatever I can to make it an easy transition.'  Kim also revealed she has not yet decided on a baby name for her unborn son yet - she is now seven months pregnant with the bub.

She told Ellen: 'Easton, I do like it I don’t think my husband likes it. I don’t think Kanye likes Easton.
'It’s definitely not South.'
Ellen who had come up with a list of ideas of her own, which included, Tito, Wild Wild and Head said: 'It’s not a good direction. South is not fair.'
She joked she had been told by a psychic friend she would be expecting twins in 2018, who emailed her, to which she responded: 'Lose the email!'
Kim also discussed her husband's plans for his run for presidency in 2020.

David Oyelowo was ‘pushed out of UK’ due to lack of roles for black actors

David Oyelowo moved to LA to further his acting career eight years ago and has since landed several successful roles and a Golden Globe nomination.

But the British star, who won rave reviews for his portrayal of Martin Luther King in the movie Selma, says he felt ‘pushed out of the UK’ due to the lack of opportunities for black actors.

The 39-year-old believes that things have actually gotten worse for aspiring actors from minority backgrounds over the years.

‘I felt pushed out of the UK because of the glass ceiling I could feel my head bobbing against,’ David said at the launch of a report into diversity in the UK’s creative industries by the Creative Industries Federation (CIF) and the MOBO organisation.

‘I could see that actors, my peers, those who had a similar trajectory to me were going on to do movies, to play leads’.

David, who trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), said he had to work four times as hard as his good friend Benedict Cumberbatch to get to an even slightly similar position.

He finally made the decision to move to the US during a Stateside trip to promote his role in BBC One show Spooks.

‘I walked around LA and I saw black people on magazine covers, in commercials, on billboards, black people integrated into society in a way I didn’t see here and I started to get uncomfortable with where I lived,’ he says.

‘I felt I was planting my seed in infertile ground.’

David believes that one of the key problems is that those in charge of commissioning tend to be white, middle-class men.

‘We have to change the faces, the gender, of the people who are in positions of power to greenlight projects,’ he says.

He also revealed that he started getting offers for roles back home once he’d make a name for himself in the States.

‘I thought wow, I have to leave and have success elsewhere in order for my ability to be validated’.

David has starred in a number of high profile films including Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Interstellar, Jack Reacher and of course Selma, since moving to America.

The father-of-four, who’s married to English actress Jessica Oyelowo, appeared in Spooks from 2002 to 2004 and starred in the BBC adaptation of Andrea Levy’s novel Small Island in 2009.

The original screenplay was written and directed by Ishaya Bako, a London Film School Alumni, and creator of a series of highly acclaimed festival favourites including the award winning Braids on a Bald Head – Best Short Film at the 2012 AMAA Awards.

Strange News Monkey Found Eating Letters On Mailbox

A pet monkey has drawn the attention of police after the animal was spotted eating letters on top of a mailbox in Florida. Officers responded to reports of a monkey roaming a neighbourhood in Sanford just after 8am on Monday, police said.

An officer snapped a photo of the monkey, later identified as Zeek, casually eating the contents of a mailbox in front of one of the homes.

Police also shared video showing Zeek monkeying around with a road sign and pulling the moulding off the roof of a patrol car.

"Zeek had a little fun with our patrol car," Sanford police posted on Facebook.

Public Information Officer Shannon Cordingly told CBS News that officers are typically ready for anything but Monday's call was a little "out of the ordinary".

"Our officers respond to some pretty serious, sad and horrific calls," she said. "It's nice to be able to respond to something of this nature - a little more light-hearted and have a happy ending."

Officers managed to keep the monkey distracted with a water bottle until its owner arrived to take him home, police said.

An Alabama Councillor seeking Divine Guidance to ban Saggy Trousers

An Alabama councillor has been seeking divine guidance for a plan to ban saggy jeans, trousers and shorts. Dadeville's legal team is currently drafting the wording of the public dress code before it goes to a vote.

City Council member Frank Goodman told a council meeting "I prayed about this" reports the Alex City Outlook.

"I know that God would not go around with pants down." 

The ordinance is currently being rewritten to include a ban on short skirts, so that it won't just be men who fall foul of the fashion police.

 "My concern is it should be for everybody," council member Stephanie Kelley told the meeting, "I think for the girls, with these shorts up so high looking like under garments and dresses so short, I don't want us to be showing favouritism."

Nigerian music star, Davido, has disclosed that he is not ready to get married any time soon. The 22-year-old pop star revealed that despite having a 4-months old daughter from his alleged lover, Sophie Momodu, he is not even thinking about tying the nuptial nuts.

When asked on whether he will be settling down soon with his baby mama, he said, “Not at all; I am not considering getting married now.” Responding to further questions if he had plans of tying the knot with another lady, the Skelewu crooner said, “Marriage? Oh please, I am not planning on getting married now.”

There’s a bit of a debate going about who actually won the fight between Drake and Meek (it was Nicki Minaj, right?), but Drake seems certain that he came out on top. He’s got his fans, his music, and the gorgeous Serena Williams, 34, now by his side.

But keep in mind that Meek believes he topped Drake in this whole thing, too. He walked away with Nicki’s loyalty, and their relationship still intact! He certainly wants everyone to know that he bested Drake, otherwise he wouldn’t have put out a diss track talking about his private jet breakfasts and his pockets full of millions!

The feud between Drake and Mill began in July when the latter went on a Twitter rant accusing Drake of using a ghostwriter. The 28-year-old Canadian rapper responded by releasing two diss songs, “Back to Back” and “Charged Up.” Mill fired back with his own diss track called “Wanna Know.”

In an interview with Fader, Drake opened up about his feud, saying he was confused about why Mill would come after him. “You guys didn’t think this through at all -- nobody?” Drake said. “Nobody told you that this was a bad idea, to engage in this and not have something? You’re gonna engage in a conversation about writing music, and delivering music, with me? And not have anything to put forth on the table?”

He added: “I didn’t get it. I didn’t get how there was no strategy on the opposite end.” Speaking directly to allegations he uses a ghostwriter, Drake told the magazine, “I need, sometimes, individuals to spark an idea so that I can take off running.”

Mill and his girlfriend Nicki Minaj also talked about the beef with Drake in a GQ interview.
