Confused man leads Colorado cops to $700K worth of meth after calling 911 on cousin

A confused man allegedly high on meth led Colorado authorities to more than $700,000 worth of drugs after he called the cops on his cousin who wouldn't get out of his car, police said.

Jonathan Potzler, 28, of Arizona, called 911 on Saturday, complaining that a stranger refused to leave his car, parked outside a Walmart in Fort Morgan, C.O., according to authorities.

When police arrived, they found 16 pounds of meth wrapped in foil and covered in grease to try to mask the scent inside the pair's rental 2015 Nissan Versa, ABC 7 Denver reported.

 Jazmin Elguezabal, 21, was traveling with her cousin when the two were busted for having 16 pounds of meth inside their car, authorities said.

It was Fort Morgan police's "biggest bust" in recent history, Fort Morgan Police Chief Darin Sagel old the Fort Morgan Times.

Potzler's stubborn passenger, 21-year-old Jazmin Elguezabal, told police she was his cousin.The pair soon after confessed to carrying drugs, according to ABC.
Potzler didn't recognize his relative and traveling companion and also told police he thought he was in Arizona.

"He was pretty much a (drug) user as he was anything," Sagel said. "He was confused and wanted help getting the woman out of his car."
Potzler and Elguezabal were both charged with multiple felonies, including unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution, manufacture and dispensing or sale of a controlled substance.
The two were held without bond at the Morgan County Detention Center on Monday.
Police are investigating the case, which they believe could be part of a bigger drug trafficking ring.
