Suspected burglar in Venice accidentally took a selfie with his victim’s phone.
The Los Angeles Police Department released this image of a suspected burglar who accidentally took a selfie in his victims' home.
The burglar entered the the home on Paloma Avenue near Speedway through an unlocked side door at about 7 a.m. on July 11, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two 15-year-old girls and a woman were sleeping in a nearby bedroom as the man went through the residence, the Police Department stated.
At one point, the burglar picked up an iPhone and accidentally activated a video application, which recorded him standing in the victims’ living room.

The burglar took the iPhone and fled through the same side door
