Watch Video:Man caught on camera as he swings whimpering dog by back legs in sick video

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT. The man spins around as the dog whimpers in pain before he finally throws it against the side of a car


A sickening video has led to the arrest of a man after he was seen abusing a stray dog in front of his friends.


The footage shows the man grabbing the animal by its back legs as it whimpers in pain.

He then hurls the dog against the side of a car and lets it land on the concrete as laughter can be heard in the background.

After the brutal attack the dog appears to get back on its feet although it is not clear whether it suffered any injuries.


Since the video went viral on various social media networks, the man has been identified by police as 21-year-old Rahul Kumar, a resident of Janta Colony in Shahdara, Delhi.

He was arrested on July 13 after animal activists brought the sickening footage to the attention of police.

Saurabh Gupta, an activist from People for Animals, told The Times of India: "I had immediately saved the video and took screenshots of his Facebook profile.

"I knew he will deactivate his account if he gets noticed. I had, therefore, started contacting his friends, who had liked that video."

Mr Gupta was handed Kumar's address by one of his friends, then immediately took all his information to the police.

Kumar was arrested by police on Monday, after they paid a visit to his house on Sunday night to be told he was not home.

Authorities confirmed there was no prior case registered against Kumar.

He was booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
